Scoot Vs Wembanyama: What to expect.

Despite the two players being very different, it was inevitable that two highly anticipated prospects would be compared. In terms of physical specifications, they are both interesting. Scoot Henderson currently measures at 6'2 and around 90kg making him an absolute wrecking ball, therefore it's easy to see where the comparisons to Westbrook come from. Wembanyama measures at around 7 foot 4 (although this is disputed by some) with an 8-foot wing span, making him a once-in-a-lifetime sort of prospect.

This combined with his Guard-like skill set and his ability to shoot the ball at a high volume and high percentage with his time at mets-92 in the French league makes him absolutely unique. What originally led to the hype around Wemby was his shot-blocking average of over 5 a game in the under-19 World Cup. And while now it is his unique offensive skills that have courted the eye of NBA fans it is still his shot-blocking that draws him out as a generational talent

As soon as he’s drafted into the NBA, Henderson is going to be one of the most athletic players in the league. If not for the wildly athletic Amen Thompson being in the same class, Henderson’s athletic prowess would be the biggest non-Wemby talking point of the draft. Even still, it’s hard to overstate his blend of explosion, finesse, and speed and the potential ceiling it unlocks for him as a player when combined with his gifted passing and smooth pull-up game in the mid-range. There’s a strong chance that if Henderson hits that ceiling, he’ll be one of the best on-ball creators in the entire league. However, his lack of ability to stretch the floor could cause him problems down the line, however with his killer mindset, there is no doubt he will overcome.

so instead of picking one over the other, I am just going to say this is NBA draft class to be excited about this year.
